I loved the movie. Why?

There was a great balance between comedy and the need for more serious elements. The idea that the first part of Act I had a lighter, comedic air to it. It included random dancing, an angry Yoshi, and lots of revived goodies from the first season, and it was such a success!

It seemed like the fight scenes probably required most of the effort that the Richalvarez team put into this movie, and I have to admit - even though it went by at a quicker pace, it was a good job. The seriousness of the battle scenes was great to see because we could see that Stupid Mario Brothers wasn't only going to be focused on a comedic element. Although the comedy in the movie is what made the series what it is, the serious aspects to the story are what gives the series a well-roundedness to it, I think.

On a lighter note, it also made me very pleased with how the series started to where it led up to in the SMB movie.
