Yes. It was announced on E3 2008, and I made a thread about it when I first got to these forums about a year ago. It's pretty much dead and never got any replies, tho.

I'd like Olimar's son to be in it along with Louie. Also, I have some good ideas for Pikmin colors:

Green Pikmin: They have wings and can fly. They are resistant to wind based attacks such as those from a Puffy/Withering blowhog and can set off new-to-the-game fan-like obstacles to blow away enemies and can deactivate them to go through. They have onions.

Black Pikmin: Has one eye and a stinger. It's pretty much the natural form of Bulbmin. In its natural form it cannot attack, carry or get anything on his head (Leaf/Bud/Flower) (will always be a seed), but resists all hazards, except for wind. The enemy has to be dead for the Black Pikmin to sting it. Once they sting a dead enemy the Pikmin who stung it will die and the enemy will open its mouth and drop 5 seeds wich will grow into a Pikmin of its species (EG: The Pikmin stings a Red Bulborb, so Bulbmin come out of it, it stings a Dweevil, a Dweemin comes out), and it will be able to attack, carry, and become a leaf, bud, and flower, just like Bulbmin, and still be immune to all hazards. The enemy who spawns the seeds will dissolve after spawning them. Also, infected Pikmin/Enemy hybrids cannot switch levels (If they are outside they cannot go underground, and vice-versa), but Black Pikmin can, there can only be 20 black Pikmin out at a time. They do not have Onions and reproduce from Dark Candypop Buds that are underground. Their body type and abilities are that they are chubby and slower than the other Pikmin, but faster than Purple Pikmin, and are bigger than White Pikmin, but smaller than the other Pikmin colors.

Orange Pikmin: They have large, muscular arms, although their body is still the same size as other Pikmin types (except Purple, White, and Black). They can use their large arms to pick up large Boulders to hurl at enemies.

Other stuff: The Dolphin is bought back and the talking hull is embedded onto it. Yellow Pikmin regain their ability to pick up Bomb Rocks that was present in Pikmin 1, but not in Pikmin 2.

I agree with adam. Nintendo needs to get its butt in gear in making some of these new games that have supposedly been in development for years...
