There has been an influx of superhero movies as of late. My head is reeling with excitement and joy at the very notion of all the movies to come.

Both DC, and Marvel hero's alike, also unincorporated hero movies as well. Is there any movie you guys are looking forward to this year? I'm looking forward to X-Men:Days of future past. and of course Avenger's Age of Ultron, but the one I'm most looking forward to is Guardians of the Galaxy! It's a hilarious "hero" movie. I love the style and honesty of it.

Are there any hero movies you want to be made but have never made it into the works? My particular hero movie I hope they make soon is "Wonder Woman." She's always been my favorite Amazon Princess! Thoughts?

PS Cap this is 2.

I was never one to really enjoy super heroes. But i have to admit, with Marvel especially, i'm warming up to their cinematic appearances.

I love Superhero films, And I've been enjoying the large influx of them in recent years.

I don't even need to mention the Marvel Cinematic Universe, because it is just plain awesome and amazing. I still need to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier though and I am really looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy.

By the way all of you should check out Arrow and Agents of SHIELD, both are great comic book/superhero shows in their own right, no need to compete them.

Cap, I can totally see you being a Captain America fanboy. Not just because of your name, but because of who and what Captain America represents. Seriously give the guy a shot.

I love Arrow, but it's hard for me to get into Agents of SHIELD, I don't particularly like Skylar... Not sure why, also Winter Soldier makes the whole SHIELD thing get put into question. I do appreciate those who watch it, and if/when it shows up on Netflix I will try to watch it again. I'm told it gets better. The mention of the TV shows remind me then, JR what do you think of the upcoming TV show, "Gotham?" I'm pretty excited about it, the idea that it's not really a Batman show, but an origins show for the villains intrigues me.

I think you're mixing up and Skye and Skylar from Breaking Bad :P

Yeah they're both good shows, though I haven't seen the latest eps of SHIELD because I really need to see Cap 2, as the latest episodes correspond to the film and if I watch them they'll spoil the movie for me.

As for Gotham, it's an interesting idea I'll give them that. Gordon's always been a good character to focus on in the Batman universe and I'm interested to see what direction they take him in the show. Though considering how they're already setting up Bruce, Selina and a whole slew of Batman villains makes it feel like they're trying too hard to pander to Batman fans. I'll hold out till I see a few episodes.

On a similar note I'm really excited for the Flash spin-off from Arrow. It's gonna be so good.

I haven't even seen Breaking Bad and yet I know people hate Skylar.

As for Skye, she's ok so far. She's been steadily improving, though I have yet to judge her fully until I see the latest episodes.

I still have yet to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier or watch Arrow. I really want to see them and I am so far behind, it's ridiculous.

From a critical point of view, I can definitely say Marvel is doing better than DC in terms of feature films. In terms of Arrow which is a DC comic television show, I heard the show is fantastic, more so than Smallville, and being a fan of Smallville myself, I really want to see Arrow! I knew it was going to be awesome anyway, and I hate with my lack of money and time constraints, I still have yet to get the first Season DVD set.

I am quite impressed with how Marvel has been doing so well, not only building up to the Avengers, but making the Avengers awesome, while still keeping true to the characters' humanity. I am anticipated for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Guardians of the Galaxy. The trailers looks awesome! I don't know a thing about Guardians of the Galaxy, so I am interesting in seeing that. What I find amazing is that they are able to make these characters really believable characters where they can be funny and sarcastic at times, as seen in The Amazing Spider-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer.

As for DC, we all know the next big thing is the unnamed Superman/Batman Movie that was going to be released in 2015, but has been pushed to 2016 since the developers need "time to realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story." I am happy for the delay for one major reason. But before I say that reason, I should say my thoughts on The Dark Knight Trilogy and Man of Steel. I love the The Dark Knight Trilogy as a whole. To me, it has a great Batman, but it's mostly a psychological survival story of Bruce Wayne. Batman Begins is a well developed origin story and I really like it! The Dark Knight is not only one of my favorite movies of all time, but my number 1 favorite Comic Book Movie of all time! Avengers is my second favorite Comic Book Movie of all time. The Dark Knight raised the bar for comic book movies to a new level where it is just awesome, you are surprised they were able to get away with some of the stuff they added in there. But to me, it was all for the better. And while many people are split on the ending, I find no problem with the ending as it does work towards the story. And The Dark Knight Rises from my understanding is a polarized conclusion among fans, and to me, it is third place. I would be lying if I said I didn't see any problems with it and that they didn't bother me, but I still like it, regardless. And now this is the one I was hoping to skip and I hate bringing it up every single time I have to. It has probably become more of a controversial topic for a lot of people since gay rights. Man of Steel. It's unbelievable how polarized this film is. It's either the absolutely loved or absolutely hated 2013 Summer Blockbuster Movie. My two favorite Superheroes of all time are Batman and Superman. And being the Superman fan that I am, I hated Man of Steel. I would go into detail on what it is I don't like about this film, but it's pretty much all over the internet. The Nostalgia Critic did an amazing collab with Angry Joe on the film as they have two opposite opinions on it. To me, it not only doesn't respect Superman as a character, but it just became a money grabber for Transformers fans who love destruction porn if there was barely any humanity to it. Man of Steel was the number one movie that made me lose faith in DC films, and from what we heard from the developers for the Superman/Batman film, most of the stuff sounds like a disappointment. But then again, we don't know the script, so they might be able to surprise us with bald Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. The Dark Knight surprised us with casting Heath Ledger as the Joker, so we'll see. Because clearly any bald person looks like Lex Luthor. But the reason why I am glad they are delaying the film is so it can be developed more. The one thing that was lacking in Man of Steel is character development. Sure there is some development, but it's more for the symbols of a character rather than the character themselves. In The Dark Knight Trilogy, we see the progression of Bruce Wayne as a character and how everything in the three films affects him psychologically and how it develops his personality. So in a way, I kind of want to see the upcoming Superman/Batman movie. But the problem is really for the fact they are rushing a Justice League movie. This is why Marvel is doing so much better. We can only hope DC steps up its game and stays true to itself rather than try to be like Marvel.

I am excited for both Gotham and The Flash. I am also highly excited for Ant Man. I'm curious to see how Paul Rudd pulls through with a role like this. I love love love how connected Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stays with all the Marvel movies that have been coming out. I'm waiting to see if they bring one of the title heroes on for an episode or too. It really is getting better with every episode!

So last week I finally saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier. And yes it was AMAZING. Seriously you should all go watch if you haven't already.

And on that note, go watch Agents of SHIELD. It's getting so GOOD now.
