Otherwise known as the Eragon series
The first book, titled Eragon came out in August of 2003
The second, Eldest came out in August of 2005
And the third, Brisingr came out in September of 2008

The books are truly amazing. Written by 15 year old Christopher Paolini, Eragon became a #1 best seller and was turned into a movie later in 2006
The fourth book is rumored to come out sometime in 2010 preferably August or October

Some information about the fourth book, which has yet to be named, has been confirmed by the author:

-The cover of the fourth book will feature an emerald (green) dragon

-Murtagh and Thorn will play larger roles than in the previous books.

-With the first parts of Eragon's prophecies having been resolved in Eragon and Brisingr (weapon under the Menoa Tree, "There is a doom upon you, but
of what sort I know not. Part of it lies in a death ..."), we can expect the remaining prophecies to come into play:

-Eragon's vision of him and another leaving Alagaesia forever with their dragons

-The Rock of Kuthian and the Vault of Souls

-An "epic romance" ("I cannot say if this passion will end happily, but your love is of noble birth and heritage. She is powerful, wise, and beautiful beyond compare." - Angela, Eragon... it is arguable that this romance/passion has already existed for Arya with a bad ending)

-The origin of werecats will be thoroughly explored

I don't know if anyone else besides me as read the books. But if you have, you can probably agree with me that they are remarkable

Wow, this is the breatest series of books I have ever read. Screw Harry Potter, this is where it's at. I was obsessed with reading the 3rd book when it was out. I woke up early on a school day to read it. When I wasn't reading it I was thinking about doing so. Best books I ever read. I loved the twist at the end of the second.

Oh and Sen, he wrote the first draft of the first book when he was 15.

Omg I know! When Brisingr came out, I skipped school until I finished it, my mom was strangely okay with it
Inheritance Cycle FOREVER! =]
I can't wait until the fourth comes out
I'm SO excited
I get all jumpy when I talk about it

The twist at the end of Eldest made me happy and sad.
I was soooooo happy Murtagh was still alive(sexy beast)
but sad because he was on Galbatorix's side =[

Adam, you remind me so much of Eragon, I don't know why but you do

this is indeed a truly amazing series of books and kudos to mr. paolini for his genius at literature and fantasy. i was surprised to find out that there would be a fourth and truly relieved to find out *SPOILER ALERT* that brom was his father instead of ...his name escapes me...that bad guy...murtaghs daddy...well yea anyways... can't wait for the fourth!

Morzan

yeah I was sooo happy when Eragon finds out that Brom was his father
but I got so mad at Eragon when in Eldest, on the burning plains:
____________________________________________________________________________
Murtagh merely shook his head and repeated his words in the an-
cient language, then put his lips, to Eragon's ear and whispered,
"You and I, we are the same, Eragon. Mirror images of one another.
You can't deny it."
You're wrong," growled Eragon, struggling against the spell,
"We're nothing alike. I don't have a scar on my back anymore"
Murtagh recoiled as though he had been stung, his face going hard
and cold. He lifted Zar'roc and held it upright before his chest. "So be
it. I take my inheritance from you, brother. Farewell."
_____________________________________________________________________________
I was so mad at Eragon for saying that to him. Murtagh is like my baby<3
It's not fair that he has to suffer from the pain
while Eragon doesn't.
I am not saying I support Galbatorix, but I support Murtagh and Thorn<3

thanks senn ;)

and if my foreshadowing skills are correct, then i deduct Murtagh and thorn will either Die(unlikely) or they will be a huge part of the last book and eventually break the fealty spell of Galbatorix and join the Varden

so i don't think you should worry too much about your "baby" =P

actually i wanna see Roran use some magic! the story of he and Katrina is actually one of my fave parts in the series

Katrina annoys me a bit
but yeah it's a cool part

I don't like how Murtagh called Nasuada pretty, and then she longs for someone
She better not touch him or I swear to god, there if going to be a serious cat fight

=]

If Thorn and Murtagh die, I am going to cry so hard =(
Also, about the last Rider, I pray to God that it won't be Arya, that's just way too predictable and it'd screw up the story

I can't see why I would remind you of Eragon. I would understand why I would remind you of Harry Potter because I do one awesome HP impersonation, but Eragon?

I have the first two. But for some reason I never read them. I guess its because I got Harry Potter 7 and forgot about them.lol. I may try to read the first one. you never know with me.
