I like it, and I'm going to beg beyond belief that it ends by Grace accidentally running right into Thibbldorf (who himself is chasing Ateren/Rufus) knocking herself out. PLEAAAASSEEE CHAR?

(of course, Thibbledorf won't be hurt, he'll just stand there confused about what he just ran into, then confront Rufus and Ateren, but get restrained by Ivan/Pikel who had followed him) <------Optional extras

Ehm...

1. Grace won't "accidently" run into someone. She can read minds, detect minds, etc. so she will know he's there.
2. It's a tough girl, she doesn't get knocked out easily.

1) Dwarves are resistant to mind magics, and magic in general
2) If you saw a glimpse of Thibbledorf's mind, you would probably go insane
3) I'm covered in plate armor. If you run into me, you would be lucky to ONLY be knocked out

Oh well, it was worth a shot

Well after some discussing, I've decided to join SotL.

Name: Azrador
Race: Dwarf
Abilities: None, so he thinks. (details in Background)
Weapon: Nothing, not a fighter.
Age: 530

Background: Azrador lives the life of a typical dwarf. Everyday he works towards expanding underneath the western mountains or mining in the hot spots. He lives in a very "purebred" dwarfish community; everyone's name ends in -or and they all speak with thick accents. Azrador has a large family: many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also has a wife Galacior and three children.

Despite having a normal life, Azrador has a unique trait. All his life he has been explainable warm. In the warmer seasons he works with his shirt off and in most of the colder seasons as well. Ignoring the tradition of the dwarf to grow his or her beard, Azrador keeps his face clean shaven because of how irritating a sweaty beard is to him. None of his family possess this trait and none of his children either. He is about to embark on a journey that will change his life forever.

Personality: Most of the dwarves of the western mountains are very lively but Azrador keeps to himself most of the time. He is a little sensitive about his lack of facial hair because he is often mistaken for a pubescent dwarf.
Appearance: short like a dwarf, slightly paler skin, muscular, beardless, uncommon blue eyes, usually shirtless, rugged brown pants, and that's about it.
Equipment: His trusty pickax
Extras: Nothing to speak of.

If you had read my recent post in ALQ then this should strike a "note"

Oracle Vision - Theme - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQ6FnxAe ... re=related

Ateren's Theme (1 out of 3) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IU8qQVKf ... re=related

the others will be put in later on in the story.

I second the part in Adam's sign up about accents. Most dwarves have an accent, and MDA, you kinda missed all of it in your earlier post.

Accent tips:
You or Your --> Ye
never a G at the end of words which would normally end in -ing
poor subject-verb agreement. (ex. I be doin' this)

Frequent sayings (primarily for my charcters)
Durned
Bah
(for Pikel) Ooo oi

DL, this is a minor form of what is known as god-modding. Yes, I saw your post, but it would completely cut out the mini-plot that Netha had with Char. Secondly, if you scroll up to posts in a discussion I had with Char on May 5th, you will see Char's argument for nullifying the post you made. As far as the god-modding goes, what you did was stop two characters at the same time, both of which have ways of defending themselves against your attack.
Thirdly, there are a bunch of people watching the fight (5, to be precise) that would've noticed a new arrival, not to mention the characters Grace and Alzander (not Ateren)

Please don't get discouraged by my frequent criticism of your posts, I'm an overly critical person and forum RPGing is an art; it takes time to understand how these things work. Besides, there is one person whom I will not mention that you are much better than in the RPGs, in general. I don't want you to quit the RPGs, but instead try to learn them better

Hmm... I'm wondering if I should join. But I need some inspiration for a character. XD

Hey all,

I know I did not join this RP, my original intentions were to just stick to one RP, for that is all I have time for. Usually, I'm a "focus on one story at a time."

However, recently, I've created my new main story, that spans across multiple RPs in the universe and in time.

Long story short, if this RP is still active, I'd like to join and create a new character for this tale. (He, of course, would be a part of my main story.)

If you guys are ok with that, I'd need to first re-read Sons of the Legendary to see what the continuity of this story is, quickly make plans as to how this is going to work in continuity with ALQ/RotH (I have now come up with a plan to make this work without interfering with ALQ/RotH character situation.) character and the main story, and then I can get started on another story.

It's up to you my friends!

I really don't mind, but only if the RPG picks up again...

Around the time between ALQ and RotH and after RotH / V'don for sure will this pick up. (Not sure of they will make other RP's before then.)

Name: Adrastos
Race: Human
Abilities: Sword Combat
Weapon: Sword, Shield(Defensive, but still should be noted)
Age: 18
Personality: Serious
Appearance: Aprox 5.5 ft, Brown hair. Not exactly muscular, but not weak.
Equipment: Just a sword given to him by his father, and a shield that was passed down over generations.
Background:
Long ago, his family used to be a part of something greater, or at least that is what Adrastos believes. Adrastos is an only child who currently has just a mother, for his father died a few years back. His father used to tell him a family story that long ago, some men used to work together to keep peace. But the story always ended with, "in the end, they realized the group should never have existed." Before his father died, he gave a warning to Adrastos. "Never seek out his history, and the ones before him. He wanted us all to be spared of the sins of our fathers." Adrastos since then has wondered about his own place in life, and of his own roots. Still living with his mother, for he promised his father he'd keep her safe, Adrastos wants to know who his father warned him about, and who the ones before him were....
