In a town not so far off a boy by the name of Ateren is itching for tomorrow, for he will turn 16, the age you can read the famed book.

Ateren: I can't wait! man... I wonder how my brother Rufus is doing...

Ateren walks through the forest outside of town to see Rufus fixing up his old bow and arrow.

Rufus: 100 arrows, that should do it.

Ateren: Getting ready for the weekly hunt?

Rufus: You bet! it's ok Lil bro, tomorrow you can finally get that weapon that's been past down in our family! tomorrow we can finally hunt with the others with the two of us now in it... the Merizoni brothers! that's what they'll call us!

Ateren laughs at Rufus's reasoning.

Ateren: I wonder how long it will take to read the book.

Rufus: Took me a week, you might wanna read it after our hunt.

Ateren: Ya, I might have to.

Rufus smiles and punches Ateren in the shoulder as he walks him home.

In a secretive locale, a group of about 100 men, as they set around a blue flame, emitting from a pile in the middle of a room concentric to the flame.

Blazer: So, I told him, "Dude, please get me a soda, and make sure you leave the ice out.", and he puts ice in it.
Acelia: So?
Blazer: Nobody disses the Blazer!
Kalv: Yea, because you leave a blaze of tears as you run from a fight.

Eveyone laughs but Blazer.

Blazer: Be quiet!

Blazer gets up in a flurried rage, and pulls his sword on Kalv. Kalv backflips behind the couch thing, and Alzander breaks up the fight.

Alzander: This is why you both are still privates.
Both: Keep it quiet-
Alzander: Care to speak on any further?
Both: No... General Alzander.
Alzander: Keep it down, and be nice to each other, and you may be promoted to First Class Privates.
Blazer: Like it's any better than a normal.

The general glares at the Private. The private shuts his mouth, and sits back down on the couch. Alzander fuels the flame, and reminiscences on his day.

Deep in the forest, where the Human's had no access to hunt. animals ran free and did not fear to get killed. Deep in there was a house, or a tree hut for that matter, where a Elf lived. His name was Potsey, he usually trained the whole day. He lived in solitude, and did not like people very much.

In his normal routine training, he did some run shooting and missed a tree. The arrow flew pretty far, so he had to go get it.

As the Elf ran he saw less and less animals, untill he could even see the skie. he started looking and did not realise he was in the local hunting area.

Potsey: I think i went there!

Potsey started walking towards the arrow.

On the edge of town, sat a boy; 15 of age. His birthday was today, and he spent it alone...again for the fith year of his parents dieing. So yet again, he baked his own cake, sand his own birthday song, and spent the day alone.

Arthour: *sigh* I say this every year... Why do i still cellebrate these things... only to be by my own self...

Said Arthour, as he sat down apond a grassy ground, awaiting travlers to come.

Thibbledorf and about half of his gutbuster brigade had been hanging around a local tavern in the northern part of Ferigon, more or less disturbing the peace with a variety of drinking songs, but it wasn't like anybody really minded. The locals knew they were coming and, although not joining in. Down the street rolled the drinking songs, and up the street rolled the smell of a dozen dwarves, none of which have had water touch their skin in months. He currently works as a mercenary, although rarely accepting contracts outside of the government, currently led by the popular King Athrogate.

Outside, an official courier plugged his nose and stepped into the tavern, quickly handed a letter to the daring barkeep, and scurried out, not wanting to take up the scene when a famous group were enjoying themselves. Or maybe because of the stench, but that's beside the point.

I couldn't tell you what the letter was thinking. Firstly, it doesn't have a brain to think with. Secondly, it's an inanimate object. But its path is rather more interesting. To follow it backwards, we would travel through the valleys of the outer edges of Ferigon, to the foothills, and into the tall mountains consisting of incredible networks of tunnels and paths, and finally reaching the tallest mountain, sitting nearly perfectly in the middle of Ferigon, the capital of the central mountains; Battlehammer Halls. Entering through the grand gates leads to a magnificent marketplace, bustling with activity. Continuing down the main halls leads (eventually) to another set of even more magnificent doors. The throne hall, lavishly decorated and open to public, most of the time. Finally, a soft carpet leads up to the throne itself, made many thousands of years ago.

Chances are, the throne was empty because Athrogate was out going to bust in some goblin skulls or some other reason.

Thib: Aight boys! I got usselves something to do! Elfy ambassador be coming in this week, we get to bust in some bandit skulls from the south. BWAHAHAHAHAH

The brigade heads south, leaving the tavern in incredible disarray

After some mind dumping, Alzander gets up to leave.

Acelia: Where are you going?
Alzander: To train a bit.
Acelia: You're already strong enough. >_>
Alzander: Explain.
Acelia: You can take down 7 men, by yourself.
Alzander: I want to be able to tale down 10.
Acelia: We've not that many people of your level.
Alzander: -.-
Acelia: Now, as Captain, I command you to take a break.
Alzander: Fine.

Alzander walks back to the sitting lounge.

Kalv: So, I can finally win at 2 vs. 1.
Blazer: If you're on the 2 side.
Kalv: Shut it.
Blazer: Make me!
Kalv: Not worth my time to lecture a punk like you.
Blazer: ...
Kalv: That's right.

Both sit in silence.

Horen: So, what is in plan for tomorrow, General Alzander?
Alzander: No clue.
Horen: Perfect.
Alzander: I've had a feeling something is amiss...

The Commander walks in.

Zaresen: Alzander, I got a mission for you.
Alzander: What is it?
Zaresen: The dragons are acting weird lately. I want you to go investigate. I told them to be expecting your arrival, so no problems should occur whilst getting access into the continent.
Alzander: Why me?
Zaseren: You're the strongest ready man. Now, go!

Alzander packs up, and heads off.

Ateren walked out of his house to breath in some fresh air of the morning.

Rufus: Ho, Ateren! The others are ready for the hunt.

Ateren: I'm ready too!

Rufus: ... Oh sure, you're ready all right... what are you going to do? wrestle them with your bare hands? get a weapon!

Ateren scratches the back of his head.

Ateren: Heh, oh ya, forgot.

Rufus: Our family War Hammer Zylot, should be a good weapon, ask mom, after all it is your birthday.

Ateren bows and runs in.

Ateren: Mom? you mind if I take Zylot for the hunt?

Rebecca: Sure hon, but just this once since it is your birthday.

Ateren: Thanks!

Ateren runs out to join Rufus, and they both join with two other burly guys.

Ralf: You guys done?

Rufus: Yes Ralf, we are.

Frank: Good, Let's get going.

The four of them then get to the edge of the city.

Rufus: To think, this place used to be burned down...

Ateren: No kidding... who, rebuilt it?

Rufus: *Shrugs* Like I pay attention to history class...

Ateren raises an eyebrow at Rufus and rolls his eyes and they laugh on the way.

Ralf: Sh! we are hunters! not Drunkard Dwarfs! do you have to laugh so loud?

Rufus and Ateren exchange looks of "Sorry"

They then head off into the forest.

The elf took the arrow up and put it in his quiver. He starts walking away, back in the dark parts of the woods, when hearing people entering the woods. He quickly got to hiding, and watched as the men walked in.

Ateren: I'm going to get the first one.

Rufus: You can dream.

Rufus smiled at Ateren, and they continued.

Potsey:*What are these humans doing here, hunting?*

Rufus and Ateren looked at each other and shrugged.

Ralf: I think I hear something...

Alzander: Ugh. Why am I sent on a recon? He knows that's my weak point.

Alzander walks on, towards the ether ran ship, and towards the Dragon continent.

Alzander: Here I am...
Dragon: A human is here...
Hatchling: Mommy! A human!
Dragon: I know, son.

Alzander walks on, ignoring the comments. He finds the leader.

Leader: Go away! We got this all under control!
Alzander: Bu-
Leader: GO!
Alzander: ...
Leader: I SAID GO!
Alzander: I can help you out.
Leader: Go now, or face death right in the eyes.

Thibbledorf's fist slammed hard into the first bandit, the bandit group easily outnumbering the Gutbusters 3 to 1. Just the way Thibbledorf liked it. He bent over to to add an extra blow when the next bandit slammed a club into the heavy helmet of the Battlerager. The spikes bit into the wood, not coming out as the helmet, attached to the club, flew off to the side, subsequently disarming the bandit. A third bandit then saw that as an opening and swung a large pole at his exposed head

The pole snapped in half as it struck Thibbledorf in the head, who was otherwise unhurt. The bandit however, stepped back in a moment of shock.

Thib: BWAHAHAHAHAH! Ye shud know good, never hit e dwarf en the head!

Thibbledorf then proceeded to punch, kick, knee, and elbow the bandits around him in a bloody dance most akin to a dog drying off. Within 10 minutes, all the bandits were either dead or injured. One was tied to a tree. Pwent made his way over to interrogate him.

Twenty minutes later, the gutbuster brigade set camp some miles in the relatively empty and spacious Zerigon. They had caught up with the bandit crew around nightfall and were probably closer to Kerigon than Ferigon at this point. Sure dragons lived here, but they never seemed to be around the borders, and bandit groups very frequently took the laxness of any patrol to camp out. Thibbledorf felt a bit uneasy, as he never liked dragons. Outside his tent, the shuffling of various night guards was audible as they got into position. Because they never showed their heads, he finally managed to fall asleep, unaware of the trouble brewing just a few dozen miles south of their position

As the three hunters looked around for the noise, Potsey as quck and agile he was jumped up a Four. The Hunters continued walking.

Frank: That did`nt sound like an animal.

Ateren: Then what was it?

Ralf: It could be many things.

Frank: I've heard rumors that there lives an elf deep in this forest. where no hunter has ever been.

Potsey:*They have heard of me, i might have to shoot them, and battle the last one. i'll wait and see what happens*

Ateren: Elves huh? why would there be some over here? and not on their Island?

Frank: Beats me.

Ateren: Where's Rufus?

the other two look around then shrug.

Ateren: I'll go get him, you two...

Ralf: Hush! You really expect for us to take orders?

Ateren: -_-; no, but...

Frank: No buts, we all will go find Rufus, losing a man is worse then losing a meal.

Alzander: Fine.

The man walks away.

Leader: Maybe we DO need some help...
Alaznder: Thought so.
Leader: We need you to go tell your little "group" that there is a new evil rising. once it breaks free...
Alzander: Yes?
Leader: Go!
Alzander: -.-

Alzander goes back towards the boat back to the human Continent.
