The night had finally passed and Brandon slowly awakened...Brandon looked at himself and was relived to find out that he had changed back like he hoped that he would.

Brandon: *Thinks* Ive changed back! Good...but what if I change back. Hopefully it won't happen again and that if just had something to do with the orb. I don't think it would be a good idea to go back to my village for some time..I guess the best thing to do is to start searching for the person who has "The Book".

Buddy began to awaken and yawned loudly. He began to wag his tail at Brandon.

Brandon: Morning Buddy! Are you ready to set off? We have a long road ahead of us.

Buddy barked and looked like he was ready to go.

Brandon: Alright, let's head on then.

Brandon grabbed the Silver Sword and strapped it to his back and headed out of the cave.

Brandon looked up the mountain and decided that he should head up the mountain and see if he could find anything on the other side..

Brandon: Let's go Buddy..

Buddy: *Barks*

Brandon and Buddy began to head up the mountain...

Alzander: It's nearing night, and they have yet to pop up...
Kalv: I hope they're fine.
Rufus: I assume they are. Now, let's get going.

The rest move but Alzander.

Alzander: I have to help them in some way...
Rufus: You're not....
Alzander: I am going down in there to locate them.
Rufus: You're crazy!
Alzander: Kalv, stick up here, and try to keep them safe..
Kalv: Got it.
Alzander: Wish me luck.

Alzander walks back to the cliff edge, and summons a light orb at his side. He then moves down, to put just his hands on the edge. he then let himself slide down the dirt edge of the quarry, and soon lands at the bottom. Once down there, he sees some people walking up the spiral, and he starts to climb the edges in front of them. He gets up to thier level in the spiral, and he starts to run for them.

Ateren: How high is this place?

Flagg: How should I know...

Ateren: Hm, say why are you here?

Flagg: Well...

Alzander: Ateren!

Ateren: Alzander? how did you get down here?

Alzander: Well it wasn't that hard.

Ateren: I guess... I did fall down and only had minor injuries.

Alzander: Well good to hear!

Flagg: Who's this clown?

Alzander flares up at the insult.

Alzander: Why I'm a Paladin!

Flagg: WHAT? those? well... excuse me officer...

Alzander: Listen, we need to find a...

Alzander had spotted Zarion

Alzander: A... Dragon?

Ateren: I found him in the cave over there... he isn't Flagg's so I decided to have him tag along. He is also really fond of me.

Alzander: Probably abandoned...

Ateren: Maby... but we named him.

Alzander: Named? you do know getting to attached to anything makes it harder to let go?

Ateren: Well of course. His names Zarion thanks for asking.

Alzander: -_-... Let's just keep going before it gets TOO dark.

The four of them had made it up and they saw something.

Alzander: It's too dark to see over there even with this light.

Ateren: I think I see 1... no 2 figures ones smaller though.

Alzander: You think they're someone else? the others are a few stories higher then this.

Ateren: Should we ask who they are?

Flagg: I say it wouldn't hurt.

Alzander: I'm here to protect you! let me go first.

Ateren: Oh, suit yourself.

Brandon and Buddy continued to ascend the mountain..Buddy began to see a figure running straight towards them..

Buddy: *Growls loudly*

Brandon: What is it Buddy? Do you see something?

Buddy: *Barks in reply and continues to growl loudly*

Brandon: *Starts to see figure* Someones coming. Don't do anything just yet, he might not be a bad person.

The figure soon approaches Brandon and Buddy..

Buddy: *Stares at the man carefully and growls*

???: Hello! Who might you be and where are you headed?

Brandon: My name is Brandon and I'm heading up the mountain in search of something. Who are you?

Alzander: My name is Alzander. What might you be looking for?

Brandon: I'm looking for a book called "The Key". Oh yeah, and the dog with me is named Buddy.

Buddy: *Growls softly*

Alzander: I see..You should come with us then.

Brandon: Hmm..alright. Buddy, this person is not an enemy, hes a friend.

Buddy: *Stops growling and sniffs Alzander then returns to Brandon's side*

Alzander: There's someone you might want to meet that's with us. Come with me..

Brandon and Buddy follow Alzander towards the others...

Ateren: Hm Alzander is back with those two, they're not cuffed or anything so they might be friendly.

Flagg: I hope.

Brandon: Hi!

Buddy: *Barks greetingly*

Zarion: *Squeals greetingly*

Brandon: Is that... a Dragon?

Ateren: Don't worry he's friendly... I haven't seen a dog before.

Brandon: You haven't?

Ateren: Ya, you would think a city full of hunting that we would have dogs to help, but we don't have ANY pets or help for quite a ways.

Brandon: I see, I'm also looking for a guy that holds the book called "The Key"

Ateren: Oh you mean this?

Ateren holds up the book and Brandon eyes it.

Brandon: Yep the very one.

Ateren: Why would you be looking for me?

Brandon: Well...

Brandon: All I know is that a mysterious voice told me to acquire the book and that once I obtain it I will have the answers to what I must do next.

Ateren: I see...do you remember exactly everything it told you? I'm a bit curious about what it told you.

Brandon: Alright...*Beings to explain*

(Flashback)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y69noHdO ... re=related

Everything went white around Brandon, it seemed as if he was floating in white nothingness. Suddenly a voice began to speak to him..

???: Brandon...Are you the one who took the orb from the pedestal?

Brandon: Yes? Where am I? Who are you?

???: I cannot tell you who I am...but you will find out soon enough. Brandon? There is something I must ask you. Are you willing to accept your destiny? The one you were meant to accomplish?

Brandon: I didn't think I had a destiny. I'm just a normal average guy. I'm don't know...

???: This is a very important decision. If you choose not to accept it...I cannot say what will happen..but you need to accept it.

Brandon: Whatever my fate may be, though I don't know. If I have to I will..

???: Do you accept it?

Brandon: I do...

???: Good, I shall explain to you what you must do first. You must look for "The Book". In order for you to discover what you must learn, you need to aqurie this book. Once you have obtained it and have read through it. You will know what to do next.

Brandon: I understand. But what about my family back home?

???: No need to worry..just focus on what you must do first. For accepting your destiny, you have been given a gift. You will as soon as you return back to the normal world. For now...Farewell....May the Light Guide you!

*End of Flashback*

Ateren: So you never knew that you had a destiny or quest you had to embark on until the voice told you to?

Brandon: Yes, I was just a normal guy at one point and now I suddenly have a destiny I never knew I had at first.

Alzander: That's quite interesting. Nothing like that has ever happened to us. Apparently theres more to our little quest then what we think it may be. I'm not sure though.

Ateren: I might let you borrow this book for a while. We just met though so I have to think about it for a little while first. How about you come with us for a while then?

Brandon: That's fine with me. It seems you all are also on a quest similar to mine. Where are you all heading?

Ateren: Were heading to a city on the other side of this mountain. I'm not sure where we'll head to afterwards.

Brandon: OK. Let's head off then.

Buddy: *Barks eagerly*

Zarion: *Squeals eagerly*

The group begins to move on once again...

Ateren: First we got to regroup with the rest of us.

Brandon: There's more?

Ateren: Yes.

They head towards the top of the sloped side. They then saw the other group waving at them and beckoning them to come.

Rufus: Nice you're back!

Ateren: You still got the map?

Rufus: Ya, I do.

Ateren cheers buy punching the air. He then readjusts his hammer strapped to his back and they continue on.

Alzander: Now, where are we going next? I'm not familiar with these lands that much. Even though I am a Paladin general, i am not a landmaster.
Kalv: Hmm. I don;t know, but our mission is to protect him, yes?
Alzander: I guess you're right.

Ateren had taken the map from Rufus and started reading it.

Ateren: Alright, past the town up ahead we go take a left and enter the other side of this large mountain range that's about 20 miles long. There will be a cave and it's in there that we are looking for.

Kalv: Alright, lead the way.

Ateren points forward with his map in his right hand with Zarion yelping while pointing the same way with his nose.

Rufus: Huh? where did a dragon come from...

Ateren: Huh? oh... right.

Ateren explains what had happened while they exit the side of the mountain range on their way to take a stop by at the town.

As the group continues traveling towards the town and Ateren finishes explaining something to Rufus, Ateren asks Brandon a question.

Ateren: Brandon? Where did you come from? I forgot to ask.

Brandon: I came from a fairly large city on the opposite side of the mountain. Is that the city you need to go through?

Ateren: I believe so if you came from that city.

Brandon: ....

Ateren: Is there something wrong?

Brandon: No, I'm alright. Anything else you need to know about me?

Ateren: The only thing else I'm curious about is that sword you have.

Brandon: *Pulls out the Silver Sword* This sword is called the "Silver Sword" I'm not exactly sure why it's called that. All I know is that my parents had this sword as decoration for their house. I also don't know who originally owned this sword if anyone ever used it a long time ago.

Ateren: The Silver Sword...something about the name of your sword sounds awfully familiar. I can't put my finger on it though...It looks pretty nice.

Brandon: Thanks, I'm not sure where the name came from. If I knew I would certainly tell you.

Buddy: *Whimpers and stomach growls*

Brandon: *Pets Buddy* Don't worry Buddy. I'll get you something to eat as soon as we get into town.

Rufus: Looks like we have more than just a dragon with us. I haven't seen a dog in a very long time. *Pets Buddy for a moment*

Brandon: Buddy was my childhood companion and has been very close to me since then. He's always had a habit of following me around everywhere I go since we have been companions for so long.

As Brandon finished talking, they had finally arrived in the town...

Ateren: Seeing as you know this town, maby you can give us a tour.

Brandon: ...Alright.

Rufus: Hey, Ateren, I want to tell you something.

Ateren: Uh, sure, what is it?

Rufus: Listen, I have an idea on how to ditch these slow pokes.

Ateren: Ditch? why?

Rufus: With less people, the treasure would only be split 50-50!

Ateren: Look, I trust them, and I'm splitting treasure with everyone and besides you can't expect us to do this without help? we can't even hunt properly WITH help.

Rufus: Well it wasn't so hard till that elf came along to ruin it.

Ateren: We were trespassing!

Rufus: So? Prey is prey, and it belongs to whoever kills it.

Ateren: But we didn't even kill one!

Rufus: ... I also don't exactly trust Grace, with that dwarf gone who knows what she might do.

Ateren: I say we just keep them with us and split it evenly.

Rufus: Oh fine, whatever.

Ateren and Rufus then catch up to Brandon.

Thibbledorf proceeded through the massive trunks of Lerigon. Every root stumbled over was rewarded with a curse, every branch caught in his armor annoyed the already unhappy and very stubborn dwarf. Despite this, he made incredible headway, leaving Ivan and Pikel out of sight. He wasn’t lost, he knew this section better than anyone, him included, realized. Dapples of sunlight flickered through the tall trees. He came upon a clearing, although clearing was a marginal misnomer. Despite a general circle without trees, the leafy canopy provided pleasant shade for the entire area. Arguably, this was the most pleasant spot in the entire world. In the middle of the circle of tranquility sat a block of stone, pyramidal in shape, which Thibbledorf now rested against. Even one such as Thibbledorf, who disliked the woods and everything in them, could not and did not remain unhappy while sitting there.

In time, Thibbledorf calmed down enough to recognize where he sat. To him, it was quite obvious. The stone obelisk marked the grave of an elf centuries dead. Three and a half centuries now? No, I had to have been closer to four. One would expect exposure to the elements over the centuries would have worn off the name, yet no name had ever graced the stone. The only place for the name of the elf that died here was in Thibbledorf’s head. It was quite clear now as to where the dwarf was. He knew it all too well.

After all, Thibbledorf had placed the gravestone himself.

392 Years Earlier

A young Thibbledorf Pwent of only 50 years sat up in a small room, having just awakened. Groggily opening his eyes, he saw nothing had changed, just like the previous 5 times he woke up like that. Standing on a bench, he looked out the window past the bars. Wooden bars they may be, but they were as strong and effective as any metal bar he knew of. Behind him, a door opened, following by a clack and the door closed again. Thibbledorf stepped down from his perch and approached the table, upon which a tray of bland food sat.

Thib: What I be givin’ fer a keg o’ ale. I be stavin’ ta death on this durned prison food.

Thibbledorf accented his rant by slamming the now finished cup of water on the table. 6 days prior, Thibbledorf had been locked up in this small prison for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He had been part of a convoy to transport a wiry, yet magnificent crown for the purpose of good political relations between the Dwarven throne and the new elf-king Tathriel. Only a master dwarven craftsman could produce such a piece of art. Unfortunately for Thibbledorf, he had eaten an inadequate everpast the night before and attempted to obtain extra food the next morning to compensate. He was rejected for a lack of money. Unhappy and stereotypically stubborn, the dwarf stomped down the street.

A few streets over, High Vizier Laschern was taking his pompous stroll down the street. He wasn’t a bad person, albeit greedy and egotistic. From a side street, a dwarf charged the vizier with a dagger. This dwarf, a member of the Divine Summit cult, was quickly dispatched by the vizier’s guards.

The Divine Summit was a radical cult formed amidst the chaos surrounding the aftermath of the Varin’Don incident on the premise that the elves caused the world to split asunder. While initially strong, they were soon overwhelmed and nearly stamped out by the more traditionally-faithed dwarves in a civil war. Heroes such as General Jallos Ironhammer emerged during the conflict, although most of it is still talk of legend, not so much history. 100 years after their formation, it was widely believed they were all but extinct, but it appeared a few pockets still remained.

A few seconds after, Thibbledorf came storming down the street, right in the direction of Laschern. Perhaps because he was unarmed or maybe it was because the elves wished to interrogate him, Thibbledorf was spared. Instead, he was swiftly apprehended and dragged off to the closest jail.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9VhdKtaT5Y

Now, 6 days since then, Thibbledorf had been struggling to maintain a steady sleeping cycle when only receiving 3 meals per day. He was starting to get used to it, too. Moments after finishing his meal, the inmate across the hall started playing his flute again. It happened every morning like clockwork. Thibbledorf would finish his meal, and right on cue, the elf in the cell opposite would play a tune. Today, it was a piece the elf, Anton, called ‘Melody of Aqua’.

Thib: So when did ye learned that piece?
Anton: My word! It must have been over 100 years ago! Haha! A little extra I got out of during a ‘business transaction’
Thib: Why do you do it?
Anton: Why do I do what? HAHAHA! Does it really matter?
Thib: Well, I--….what did ye be doin’ a get on the bad side o’ every durned official in Lerigon?
Anton: Officials? Ha! What gives them the right to be all officially over us? Especially that guy Laschern. Methinks he wants to be the most important person in the eyes of all who glimpse upon his overly smug face. WELL GUESS WHAT? I refuse. I am the most important person to me. He is only important to himself. He’s not even important to this city. Tell me, who is the most important person to you?
Thib: I be supposing’ it be me king--
Anton: WRONG! You are the most important person to you. I resent people who want others to see them as important. It’s why I’m against “officials”.
Thib: Yer an anarchist…
Anton: Tsk, tsk, what a hateful word, ‘Anarchist’. No, I am merely independent of what people want me to do

Thibbledorf attempted to conceptualize this, but had significant trouble. A leader fought for his people, and vice versa. Fighting for oneself was one thing, but fighting without regard for allies? Preposterous!

Thib: Ye know, I really ain’t be knowin’ what ye be sayin’.
Anton: I’m saying you should be yourself. Do what you want to do. Let me put this in perspective. Why are you here?
Thib: I be arrested. Wot odder reasons be there?
Anton” No, I’m asking what you did to get arrested. You are innocent, no? Then Why Are You Still Here?
Thib: Ehh, I kin see why--
Anton: You’re hopeless! How do you call yourself a free citizen of Ferigon if you follow what other people say you can and cannot do?

This last statement seemed the stifle the argument from the dwarf destined to be the infamous Battlerager. Anton saw the lack of response and attempted to finish the discussion with a bold statement.

Anton: You don’t belong in this prison.

Thibbledorf responded to that by merely flopping down on his uncomfortable bed, trying to think of a new way to spend the next 13 hours of his day.

Anton: Don’t tell me you want to stay here.

Thibbledorf gave no verbal response to that as well, but it got him thinking. Why WAS he here? Had he been 5 minutes earlier or later, he wouldn’t be stuck in the jail for the past week. Was that elf so important that Thibbledorf is in prison for doing nothing? Being like the majority of other people clearly wasn’t helping his life. These elves were all being egotistic hobgoblins. Dwarves, and even humans, weren’t so bad. Thibbledorf could be wild and different. Even if he stopped following these laws set in place by others, it wouldn’t be that significant as long as others weren’t harmed. Anton was wrong on one point. There are still many people Thibbledorf cared about. And he knew his king was very much worthy of his respect and loyalty. Yes, he could be a wild person, but shall be loyal to those he believed in.

http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/247688

At this point, the dwarf realized that the elf had finished another song and was partway through a third, this one called ‘The Fantastic Spirit’, a song of such immense difficulty but performed to such a degree of perfection that at points, it sounded like 2, 3 even 4 instruments at once even though Anton had only one flute. Thibbledorf resigned to sitting back and listening to the music.

-----------------------stop music-----------------------

The young dwarf shifted his weight uncomfortably on the bed. It wasn’t the bed that caused this, even though the mattress was as hard as a rock. Thibbledorf had slept on rocks before, and they weren’t so bad. No, Thibbledorf, like the previous 5 nights, did not receive a fourth meal and was having difficulty without it. Outside, he could hear the steady increase of rain, from a drizzle to a pitter-patter, to a constant drone. Far off in the distance, lightning flashed over the trees.

The thunder boomed softly.

Minutes later, Thibbledorf found himself pacing the dark cell. One of the two inside guards was snoozing, as they took turns watching the prisoners during the night. The dwarf suspected the guard was snoring, but it was impossible to tell over the rain. Yet the rumble of thunder continued to increase, a moderate sounding boom. He looked out the window over the dark city as lightning illuminated both buildings and massive trees. When he turned around once more, he noticed the cell door was open. The next flash of lightning revealed Anton’s face in the gloom. Wondering how Anton escaped, but recognizing the intentions, Thibbledorf held back his questions and followed the odd elf down a long spiral staircase. And although Thibbledorf was a dwarf, and dwarves aren’t exactly known for being great at sneaking, the heavy rainfall masked his footsteps.

At long last, the odd duo reached the bottom. The thunderstorm brutally assaulted their eardrums as it sat directly overhead. Under the visual cover of darkness and the audio cover or rain, the two dashed for the city boundaries. Rain drenched Thibbledorf’s clothes almost immediately, but he kept the presence of mind to keep his complaints under his breath. Once at the edge, Anton and Thibbledorf paused to check their progress. Over the pouring rain, a loud call split the night.

???: PRISONERS HAVE ESCAPED! JAILBREAK! CATCH THEM!

The thunder boomed loudly.

Thib: Can’t say I weren’t be expectin’ that.

The fugitives dashed through the trees as fast as Thibbledorf’s legs could carry him, which, rather unfortunately, was ultimately slower than their pursuers. Greenery and stone, tree trunks and dirt all sped by in an inky blackness; te weather and lack of light preventing any legitimate vision. Frequently, the dwarf tripped over a root or rock, losing valuable seconds. Less frequently, lightning shattered the sky, illuminating the forest and casting eerie shadows amongst the branches. Less frequently still, Anton would change the direction of flight to shake off and disrupt pursuers.

Within half an hour, Thibbledorf was thoroughly exhausted. Sprinting through think foliage at night in the midst of a thunderstorm was clearly not one of his strong points. Anton had entered the clearing in front of him and the dwarf made to follow. Dwarves had developed impressive vision for dark areas after eons spent in tunnels. Yet so dark was it that Thibbledorf could not see a particularly large root in front of him. He landed face-first in the mud.

When he looked up again, he glimpsed upon two more elves flanking Anton, who had taken a seat on a large rock in the middle of the clearing.

???: Your crimes have gone too far
Anton: All in a matter of perspective.

Be it luck or fate, Thibbledorf was perfectly hidden just outside the clearing, but able to, and perhaps unfortunately too, see and hear the conversation hardly 10 paces from him. Lightning split the sky and momentarily revealed the characters of this moment. One figure had his back to Thibbledorf. The second, an unknown elf, seemed quite angry. Anton, in contrast, seemed almost content. Thibbledorf saw that he was taking his flute out. How could he play at a time like this?

???: Will you pay for your sins?
Anton: Didn’t realize I committed any.

Anton raised the flute to his lips and began to play. Notes of happiness came into existence from the elf. When played, a song carries emotion to the listener. One would expect Anton’s song to be filled with sorrow, but in reality, it wasn’t. The elf, in a circle of solitude amidst the torrential downpour, sat playing his flute. It was a remarkable scene as one elf sat playing a flute without a care in the world. The notes rose into the woods; even the thunder seemed to soften so that the storm may listen to the song containing no regret, no sorrow, only a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.

???: Very well then.

With as much grace as an executioner could possibly give, the unknown elf drew his thin blade. He then pointed it at Anton.

???: Last words?
Anton: Said them hours ago.
???: Interesting logic…

Anton played the final notes of his song. The other elf prepared the blade. As Anton placed the flute down on his lap, the elf lunged forwards and plunged the blade into Anton’s heart.

Lightning ripped the sky open and thunder cackled until Thibbledorf’s ears were ringing.

Realizing that that was the end for Anton, Thibbledorf buried his face in his mud-covered arms. As he looked up once more, the unknown elf was cleaning the sword and exiting the clearing. The flute lay loosely clutched in a now-cold hand. Yet Thibbledorf noticed, and maybe at another time he would have thought it to be creepy, but Anton’s dead face held a smile.

Thibbledorf waited in his little corner until he was sure that the pursuers were gone. Then, he solemnly entered the clearing. Next to Anton, he dug a shallow hole, gently placed the body in it, and started to cover it up. He paused momentarily, and put the flute in his pocket, the only reminder Thibbledorf, or the rest of the world, will have of Anton, the elf without laws. He finished filling in the grave. Finally, to mark the spot, he hefted the large rock to an upright position and placed it on top of the grave. Having nothing else to do, he set against a tree trunk and was finally able to fall asleep.

Present Day

Thibbledorf stood up from his resting position and headed off west, to return to Ferigon and his home, the place he felt best.

After his adventurous slumber, the lone dwarf awoke bright eyed and bushy tailed. The second he had finished his breakfast, Azrador skimmed the tunnel wall for the crystal he had found the night before. For a moment, he thought it had merely been a figment of his stressed psyche but his doubts were quickly dismissed when he spotted the sparkling gem.

Removing his fine prospecting tools from his pack, the middle-aged dwarf quickly began whittling down the stone surrounding the crystal. As Azrador carved away at the rock he realized that the gem was very large, about the size of his head. When he was ready to dislodge the gem from the wall something happened.

Once he placed his hand on the crystal, it began to glow. The glow was so bright that Azrador had to shield his eyes for a moment. He pulled his hand back but the gem stayed attached to it. The crystal came right out of the wall, as it seemed to favor Azrador’s hand and stuck to it like glue. Opening his eyes, the dwarf was entranced by the beautiful light that shone from the cerulean crystal.

Azrador: I think I’ll call it: Gleaming Glacia…

After admiring it for a few moments, Azrador tried to place the crystal on the ground but he couldn’t. It had practically attached itself to his hands. He had to struggle for a minute but with the assistance of his boots he was able to pry the gem from his grasp. The second that it was detached, the heavenly light faded and the crystal sat there lifeless.

The lone dwarf pondered this for a moment. What caused the crystal to light up like that? Why wouldn’t it detach from him? Why did it feel… so… right? Would it happen… again? Reaching towards the gem he felt an almost magnetic pull as the gem flew back into his grasp and was instantly illuminated.

Azrador must have stared at the crystal for an hour because he soon felt his eyes hurting as if he had seen the sun. Using the gem as a lantern, (because it was so much brighter than his old one) the dwarf continued to escavate for similar treasures, but to no avail. After digging in a two yard radius of where the crystal was found he deemed it unique and that there was none other like in the entire mountain; nevertheless, the world.

Overcome with curiosity as well as a newfound addiction to the feeling, Azrador tried to feel deeper into Gleaming Glacia. The deeper he seemed to go, the colder the crystal became and the colder it became, the better it felt to him. Trying to maintain the sheer ecstasy, the lone dwarf placed his other hand on the cave wall as the gem grew colder and colder.

All of a sudden, Azrador was overcome with a sense of guilt. This could not be right. This precious gem which had fallen into his life felt far too good to be true. The lone dwarf felt his conscience cry out against the crystal’s coldness and he felt compelled to rid himself of its possession. Azrador reached for his pickaxe and as tears poured from his eyes, the dwarf drove his axe into Gleaming Glacia smashing it into a thousand pieces.

Instantly, the dwarf fell to the ground in a teary fit as he mourned the death of the crystal, which felt so right. As he raised his hand to his face he noticed something.. glimmer on his fingers. Upon closer inspection, the dwarf found fragments of the crystal attached to his skin.

Wasting no time, Azrador frantically scrambled through his pack to find a pair of thick socks his loving wife had packed. He turned on his lantern and returned to the spot where he smashed the crystal and for the next few hours he carefully gathered every last fragment into the thick sock and soon he had a all of gem together again. That night, Azrador hardly slept for his mind was obsessed with lit by the ominous glow of the crystal.

Brandon, and the others began to walk through his hometown...

Ateren: What's the name of this town Brandon?

Brandon: Silton City. I was born and raised here and continued to live here my whole life. I spent my time walking around places and visiting the library every now then and take walks with my dog. My life has been pretty carefree up until now....

Alzander: Ive never heard or seen this city before. Give us a tour of the city so I can figure what's here just in case we need to come back.

Brandon: Alright, just be careful Ateren..nobody that lives here has ever seen a dragon before.

Ateren: Don't worry about that..Zarion won't harm anyone.

Brandon: I know..people around here are only used to dogs and cats. Let's go..

Brandon began to give them a tour of the city...

Brandon began to show the group several different shops and restaurants around town. There was a few weapon shops, a pet store and animal shelter, grocery stores, department stores, etc.

Flagg: Seems like a pretty modernized place.

Brandon: The only thing we don't have is electronics. We use communication crystals in order to call upon each other.

After walking some more, Brandon showed them hotels where they could stop and rest and some other interesting areas such as historical museums, and libraries along with a few parks. The city was basically like any normal modernized city. After showing them everything, they finally arrived at Brandon's house.

Brandon: Since were here, if you want to, we can all stay at my house overnight before heading out again.

Ateren: Sounds like a good idea. Since we still have a little daylight left, why don't you show me around the museum and library. I'm quite curious too find out if this place any history related to "The Key".

Brandon: Ok, I'll take you there.

Brandon brought the group back to the library and they entered it..

The woman librarian greeted Brandon.

Librarian: Hello Brandon. How have you been and who are your new friends?

Brandon: I met these people just on the mountain not too far away from town. One of them needs to check out some books here.

Librarian: Ah I see...welcome. If you have any questions just ask me.

The group settled into the library for a little while Ateren began to look around...
