Ok this is a short (some what) story call The Missing Dreamland! This is what I have so far! It's not that great (well that is what I think) I might post more to it when I get around to writing more (having writer's block). So hope you like it, give me feedback (good or bad). Thanks!!

The Missing Dreamland

Beginning:
Have you ever feel like everyone wanted you to do something and you could not help but say yes to whatever it was? Then when you did what they told you to do, they yell at you saying that you did not do it the way they pictured it in their mind? People can be so confusing can they? But what if there was a place where no one asks you to do what they said or a place where no one yells at you? Well there is a place like that; it was made many years ago. It was the most perfect place to be, but it was to perfect for some people and the place just disappear. The place is still unknown till this day, but soon, very soon, someone found the ruins of the perfect place. What that person does not know is that the person that started and found the perfect place is closer to them then they know. And this is the story how Missing Dreamland was found by one lonely, depressed, little boy.
Part One:
One day little Derrick is walking home from school, then out of nowhere Bully John comes up to Derrick, pushes him down, and steals Derrick’s shoes again. Dang, thought Derrick, that’s the forth pair this week. When Derrick gets home his mom is talking on the phone, like always, and his dad is not home yet. Derrick is rushing to his room, but soon as he was right at his bedroom door his dad comes in yelling and screaming like always.
“Where is my dinner,” he screaming really loud this time, “or do I have to wait till you’re off the phone with your boyfriend Jane?”
“Dinner is ready Carl,” Jane said, her voice so clam, “and I am talking to my mother thank you very much.”
Then out of nowhere Derricks’ dad walk to his mom, takes the phone, hangs it up, and slaps Jane right across the face. Jane never cries, which scares Derrick half to death. So Carl walks over to Derrick, Derrick’s heart was beating really fast.
“Where is your shoes mister?” said his dad.
“Bully John took from them me dad,” said Derrick, he was shaking all over, “again.”
Carl shakes his head, and walks into the kitchen. Derrick is lucky that his dad did not slap him like he does everyday. At dinner Derrick is too scared to eat, and his mom is staring at the clock. Now that Derrick thinks about it Jane looks at the clock a lot since he could remember. It really bothers Derrick that he does not know why his mom does that. Later on that in the night when Carl was out sleeping in the living room, Jane is still sitting in the kitchen looking at the clock on the wall. So Derrick figures that he should ask his mom why she looks at the clock.
“Mommy why do you look at the clock all the time?” said Derrick.
“Well sweetheart it is because,” Jane looked like she might cry for the first time since Derrick could remember, “it gives me hope that everything well be fine.”
“Okay mommy,” said Derrick believing the lie his mom just told him, “I’m going to bed now night mommy I love you.”
“Derrick,” Derrick looking into his mother’s eyes that are feel with tears, “I love you very much, I always have and I always will, don’t forget that. Okay.”
“Okay mommy,” Derrick said now a little worry about his mom but shook it off anyway.
The next morning Derrick wakes up by a loud sharp scream. He ran as fast as he can to his parent’s room, but when he got there he saw the scariest thing ever. His dad killing his mom!
Part Two:
Derrick wants to scream but is too afraid that his dad could hurt him too. Then Derrick hears a loud scream, but it is his scream not anyone else. Carl looks at Derrick and then back at Jane.
“Derrick go to your room now, I’ll be in there as soon as I can,” scream Carl.
“NO DERRICK!” yelling Derrick’s mom, “run away, run far away and don’t look back, don’t come back just go.”
“SHUT THE HELL UP WOMAN!!” screaming Carl choking Jane harder and harder.
“Derrick, mommy is fine now go to your room and I’ll be there soon,” Carl said trying to talk calmly, “honey just go.”
When Derrick hears his dad say honey he knows something is not right, but he said ok. Derrick goes back to his room, and then he opens the window, packs some items into a backpack, and runs away from his house. He runs so fast that he didn’t notice all the cars that he is pasting. Thinking about turning around and going home he hears the worst thing that a kid can and will ever hear, the last words from his mom before she dies. Everyone heard the last words the Jane said before Carl killed her. Derrick is not even out of his neighborhood yet, when Carl runs outside to see that Derrick is running away.
“Derrick get back here right now,” said Carl screaming at the top of his lungs.
Derrick stops for a second then starts to run again, he takes a glaze back and see his dad getting into his car. Oh no though Derrick I need to run faster. Derrick is so fast that his dad can’t kept up, and Carl was drive a top of the line car. When Derrick reaches the police department his dad is trying to pick him up before he gets inside, but it was too late Derrick is inside telling the cops what has just happen.
“He is has a cold officer,” Carl says, “I needs to go home and get him some sleep.”
“Ok then why did I just ran here and you guys just saw that he was trying to grab me,” Derrick say not wanting to go back home and most likely get killed by his dad.
“I was grabbing you because your very sick boy,” Carl says.
“My dad just killed my mom, his wife!” says Derrick.
“No I did not,” says Carl.
“Ok lets just go back to ya’ll house and see,” says one of the police men.
“Yes and Derrick you can ride in the police car,” says the other police man, “ok with you two.”
“YES PLEASE!” says Derrick.
“Fine with me,” Carl says under his breath.
On the way back to Derrick’s house Derrick prays that everything was just a dream that he didn’t hear his mom say “I LOVE YOU DERRICK!”, then her dieing. Derrick wants to be just a dream, not a dream a nightmare, Derrick wants everything to be back to normal. That everything was an awful nightmare.
When the cops, Derrick, and Carl reach the house it was dark, cold, empty, Derrick takes a breath in hoping it this would be over and everything is fine. Of course Derrick was wrong, the cops found the dead body, Derrick’s mom, Jane. Then Carl was arrested.
“What will we do with the kid?” says one cop, “he is only 15 years old.”
“He will have to stay with someone in his family,” says the other cops.
“Derrick what family member lives near here?” says the first cop.
“My grandma on my moms’ side,” says Derrick, “she lives about five blocks away.”
“Ok, can we have her number so we can call her?” says the other cop.
“Ok,” Derrick says, “its 555-0304.”
“Thank you,” says the one cop, “if you want to you can go inside your house and get anything you can.”
“Ok, thanks,” says Derrick.
Part Three:
As Derricks walks in his house, he first walks straight to his room to gather some items like: shirts, pants, toothbrush, toothpaste, school supplies, his gifts that his mom gave him, and more. Then he walked to the kitchen where he stops and looks at the clock, hum I wonder if I should take it?’ He thought. Derrick puts a chair to the cabinets and climbs to the clock. As he takes it down there is a picture and a map on the back of the clock. Derrick sees a really pretty girl and a depressed boy, on the back of the picture its reads, “Dreamland! 1978” under that it says, “Carl James (founder) and Jane Tuba (co-founder).” No, Derrick thought, it can’t be real, but is it? After seeing this he runs to his parent’s room and takes the secret box that was his mom, it carried all the most special items that his mom hold so dear, he found the key in the jewelry box, and stuff the box in his suitcase. He leaves his house without looking back knowing that he would come back soon.
