Here's the trailer for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSRtYpNRoN0

Don't tell me it isn't completely epic. I am a fan of Oblivion, and this looks beyond stunningly epic. Particularly the graphics. Although I can't imagine the essential gameplay will be much different than oblivion, the graphics are a HUGE upgrade.

Keep in mind Oblivion's graphics were pretty dang good.

It makes me wonder if ANY computer will be able to handle the engine. I know Oblivion had a slight problem with it. I hope it doesn't turn into a situation like Crysis. Hooray for game platforms.

They also have a release date. 11/11/11.

What are your thoughts, and are you planning on getting it? Because I sure am.

Pre-ordered it when I picked up Portal 2. And I'm excited for it! The dragon shouts look like a cool feature to this game. :D

I'm slightly concerned about the balance in the game. I know plenty of exploitable...oversights from the design group that made Oblivion quite easy at certain points. There was 100% Chameleon, the Skeleton Key, Spells that dealt absurd damage, and my Dad's personal favorite...

Quest allies that can't die because they are needed for the quest and end up killing every enemy for you and you don't need to do anything. (Odreyn, I think the Fighter's Guild guy was.

With Skyrim, I'm concerned about the balance of the Dragon Shouts in the game.

And I kinda want to read the Elder Scrolls themselves...Read about myself beating Mankar Cameron and that Daedra guy. :D

Ooh! And Also Sheogorath! He is by far my favorite Daedra Prince. This calls for a celebration! Cheese for everyone!

I actually managed to get negative magic stats, I couldn't cast any decent spells :P

Not really, but apart from casting shield, I had no useful spells I could cast. Fingers of the Mountain, for example, cost ~900 mana and I only had 250.
I ended up beating all of the mage's guild quests with hardly a spell

My point is that I only actually had 95% chameleon: Ring of Khajiti, Crystalline Cuirass, and I custom-made Gauntlets of Invis. BUT STILL!

I should've kept the boots of springjack. That +50 acrobatics was so much fun, and I probably would have survived the fall, because I had close to 100 to begin with.

Looks like a good game, so I will try to get it (depends on multiple stuff, though). If I can't get it, my friend will get it and I can at least demo it at his house.

Only 2 more days!

Of course, I'm not actually going to be getting it on release. I'll probably wait a few weeks before getting it.

You really think the graphics look that good? I realize it's a big game and so having good graphics can be very difficult to pull off, but it looks so very much like fallout 3.
