"Get back here!!" Sephiroth shouted, chasing after Yari.

Yari, running as fast as his legs would allow, did all he could to avoid being caught by the determined treasure hunter, but ended up tripping over an inconveniently-placed rock in the middle of the road. Cursing under his breath, he tried to get up, but Sephiroth grabbed him and tied his hands behind his back.

As all this had happened, the bus carrying the rest of the group had stopped and Kyro, Mark, and Stacy had gotten out of it. Before Sephiroth could get away, the group had surrounded him and Yari.

"Let him go!" Mark demanded.

"Why should I?!" Sephiroth asked.

"Because," Stacy answered, "it's unethical to hold him prisoner like that."

"Do you know how much I want the treasure?!"

"Oh, come now," Kyro said. "We want it just as badly as you. Now, will you please let the man go?"

"Never!" Sephiroth pulled his gun out and pointed it at Yari. Everyone gasped.

"You wouldn't kill me!" Yari said. "I'm the only one that can translate J3J3M0N!"

For a moment, none of them moved. Then, after a few seconds, Sephiroth's eyes widened and he lowered his gun.

"Look," Mark said, "if you want the treasure, you can join us. We'll find it much quicker that way."

Sephiroth hesitated. "Fine," he said, sighing. He untied Yari, who stood up afterwards. The group went back to the bus and sat down inside to discuss the next step in their adventure.

Mike was just taking a stroll when he heard some noises.

"What the heck?" asked Mike, as he found Sephiroth and the others. "Oh uh, I'm gonna go now-"

"Not so fast!" said Sephiroth as he grabbed Mike by the shoulder. "What have you heard?!"

"Let him go!" Stacy exclaimed.

"He might have heard too much!" Sephiroth yelled, "No one else should know."

Stacy saw a broken pole nearby. She encircled towards it. "He may have heard nothing."

Stacy picked up the pipe and swung at Sephiroth.

Sephiroth grabbed the pipe and ripped from Stacy's hands. He moved to strike Mike, when Yari interrupted

"SEPHIROTH! THAT'S ENOUGH! Let him go, he can join us?"

"I don't want to split the treasure any further!" Sephiroth exclaimed

"Treasure? What treasure?" Mike looked at Sephiroth in suprise, while the latter facepalmed

"Leave him Sephiroth. I need to talk to you, in private. Now." There was a slight undertone of disgust in Yari's voice

"...fine" Sephiroth let Mike go, and followed Yari to a place not far away from the rest. Mark and Stacey we'rent going to let Yari get kidnapped again, so they watched from not far away. Mike, still wondering what was going on, followed Mark and Stacey

"Ok. here's the deal." Yari said, in a voice filled with buisnessness “I know that you want this treasure...badly. I also know that you don’t mind breaking the law to get it. You are a disgrace to all archeologists. Well let me tell you one thing. Don’t EVER think of betraying us. Why not? Because you aren’t going to get any help from me then. Do you know how mutch this treasure is worth? Do you know how hard they have tried to hide it? One clue leads to another, and another, and another...”

“I get it.” Sephiroth said, monotonely

“Might be we need you someday. But for now, stay out of my way! You can tag along, but don’t bother us! If you have a helpful insight, you may share it. For the rest you may SHUT UP!”

“If it wasn’t for the treasure, I would have..”

“The treasure exists, therefore you wouldn’t have...ever! Now come on, let’s get back to the others, and I can try to find out where the next clue leads to!”

Yari and Sephiroth met up with Mark, Mike and Stacy

“What about him?” Sephiroth asked

“what have you herd, random guy?”

“Somethign about a treasure! Actually it was pretty mutch everything.”

“Let him tag along then, or he’ll tell others” Mark decided

“Great...” Sephiroth grumbeled

Moments later the group was on the bus, and Mark drove away.

“Where are we going?” Sephiroth asked

“Yari asked me to bring us to a calm non-populated spot so he can try to figure out what’s next. And I know just the place...”

Later on, Yari joined Mark and Sephiroth in front of the bus. Making sure that Sephiroth couldn’t see it, Yari put a note in Mark’s pocket. Mark understood that Seph shouldn’t see it, and secretly read hte note. It said “We’ve got to befriend him well, make him a good friend or we might all lose the treasure in the end...excluding him, of course”

Sephiroth noticed some movement between Mark and Yari but was not sure what it was. He sighed and tapped his foot impatiently.

"If we're to find this treasure soon, shouldn't we go?" he asked.

"Hold on." Yari said.

"We need to decipher the next clue first." Mark told him.

"Of course. Just make it quick." The three of them climbed back onto the bus.

Yari got out Alvaréz's diary and opened it to the next clue.

"Interesting..." he said.

"What is it?" Mark asked.

"Well, give me a moment to translate the J3J3M0N, but it appears that we'll have to go to the Geek Squad Headquarters."

"The Geek Squad HQ?" Stacy repeated. "Wasn't that place shut down months ago?"

"Yes, it was...ah, here...I have the translation."

Yari clears his throat to read the full diary entry in English.
