Is Dark Mario gunna show up as a main antagonist in Season 3? Or is he and the artifact simply being built up for Season 4 (The Movie)?

I'm not sure how much Rich wants to give away on this subject, so I thought I'd ask everyone what they'd thought?

As I'll explain in the new Podcast, Shadow Mario was always planned as the villain of the movie.His costume was paid for with the movie budget. But I decided to introduce him earlier to give a stronger connection to the Movie, But no, the Main Antagonist in Season 3 is Wario, Shadow Mario is still the Main Antagonist of the Film, He simply has background and buildup in season 3. As far as the artifact goes, I don't wanna spoil too much, but you will see link in 44 and 45.

As another tip to keep you out of trouble (because I'm that nice), take note of the post before yours. The date was much earlier.

Honestly? I don't think there's even going to be a fight.
I've always said that I believe episode 45 to be for the single purpose (as far as plot) of setting the stage for the movie.

Richie said in the first episode 44 delayed videos (i think) that episode 45 would take a long time to edit and stuff. Lightsaber fights take a long time to edit too so a fight might be entailed. I'm not saying that lightsabers are the only things to edit that take a long time though. I am just saying its a possibility. Also, it there wasn't a fight, what would occupy the season finale?

As was said by others, episode 44 Pretty much IS the season finale, there is no fight in episode 45. It's just connecting the series to the movie.
