Many people watched RMA Productions close the book on "Stupid Mario Brothers" with the series finale. I know at this time I was re-watching the entire series in one setting leading up to the final episode. What an experience that was. Sitting right here, on this computer, at this desk in the same corner of my apartment.
I remember watching the episode, having a good time. Then as bittersweet as it felt, the credits started to role. I remember the feeling that the final line, "Thank you for giving me the best five years of my life", gave to me. What a way to go out. That episode was truly special. From the actors to Gavin's special effects, it was a grand spectacle. Everything about it. But unfortunately, StMB had ended.
Now, I can't say I've watched every video of Richie's since, but for the most part I've liked what he's done. "Super British Mario Brothers" stands out to me as one of the best he's done since ending StMB. Though I don't think his newer videos are quite as good, I'm glad he's still making videos for YouTube and having a fun time doing it.
Ever since the episode came out though the forum has been...stagnant to say the least. Not sure why that's the case, but I suppose that it's better than it being a ghost town or something. Maybe more people will come back today, who knows? Either way I think it'll be just fine.
I haven't watched Episode 75 or much of "Stupid Mario Brothers" since viewing it a year ago though. I don't really know why, maybe it has something to do with the sense of nostalgia (like maybe I don't want to see it and then feel as if it wasn't as good) or Mr. Chamberlain's reviews (which I did disagree with plenty on the Season 4 and 5 reviews he did), I dunno. But I'll give it another watch today to mark what has been a stagnant, but pretty fine year.
Thank you for reading.
