Sorry if these have already been covered in other threads, but I've had a few ideas considering how the site could be run. Being a monitor on a teen forum and on several clan sites I thought they could be useful.

1. More detailed profiles and such.

No, not as detailed as MySpace or Facebook, that would be too much for a free domain. These should be simple, things like comments, info (Religion, Gender, Favorite Music/Book/Movie/Etc) and photos could work. (Example here -> http://arg.com/forum/profiles/daedraeater). These really help members get into the site and become regulars.

Well, thanks for reading, and take the Fresh Meat's comments for consideration.

-James

Is it in the User CP? Because I haven't seen it so far.

EDIT: Nevermind, thanks!

The Profile additions sound like a good idea. I just ran a test and I can ass some options there. The only question is what additions would you want to have?

I'm thinking one thing would be Youtube Channel, because like everyone on here would have that.

Religion and Gender would also be helpful.

But I'd need to know exactly what favorites you'd want added.

This goes for everyone, if you could have more added to your profile what more would you want?

. Just the basics, really. Things you'd find on most forum/other social site profiles. Something that could help users know who to contact on issues, or just who to "hang out" with. It could expand a user's interest in what they put into the forum and their profile.

That could work, considering the amount of Youtube-ers and other film makers here on the forums. Useful for Vlogs, WIPs and maybe even SMB Sneak Peaks/Behind the scenes footage for fans.

I thought they would be. :awesome:

I don't know if religion is such a good idea as it can open new doors to fights for people who aren't as tolerant. Well thats coming from me, i live in one of the most religious intolerant countries out there.

I don't pay much attention to profiles. but i always fill mine out in case someone wants to know more about me. You put it in there and i'll do it. (no pun intended).

Not entirely, it could also open doors to interesting debates and/or discussions. It's a Pandora's box.

I've been on a lot of sites with more detailed profiles, I never end up filling them in.

Good thing i'm the only irish guy on here.
I know if there were more there'd be some amount of hate spamming up these forums. Considering most of my brethren blow each other up because they don't like the others football shirt -.-". Sigh humans are pathetic aren't we.

I guess Religion and Gender 4 the Profile (obviously).

But how about a direct link 2 a persons profile when u c them in the forum. Or is that there already.

I guess also a Wold Map locator thing so that u could c where in the world your fellow forumers r. Sure, there's the location thing, but nobody actually puts there real location there. And even the ones that do tell their real location, you might not know exactly where that is.
