THE FORTIFACTORS

Well as many of you have heard me mention, I'm working on an animated series. I haven't done an animated series since... 2006. About a year after I did Adam's Universe: The Series I wanted to create a decent animated series, one I could be proud of. I wanted to create a universal series, one that I could just show to anyone whether family member or friend or accomplice or anyone and be proud of it.

My first decision to make was in main protagonists. I decided I wanted a group but I couldn't decide how many people would be in the group. I narrowed it down to 3, 4, or 5 members and I think it took me a week to decide on 4. One night I took my clipboard and pencil and drew my first character, a Wendigo I later named Laertes. Every night I would draw another character or location and by the end of Summer 07 I had the star of the series in my head. But when school started, my priorities shifted, and while I focused on schoolwork, the ideas for the series constantly grew in the back of my mind. Every joke, every movie, every thing that crossed my mind from September 07 was somehow incorporated into the series.

In early 2008 I had a revelation while listening to Lux Aertna on the bus. Suddenly I had the plot for a second season. It wasn't long before I pieced together what I wanted to happen Season Three and by Summer 08 I had the entire series in my head. Between Summer 08 and 09 I took the time to work on other movies and learned new programs, purchased new tools, etc. and that brings us to the present.

Now enough about the creation of this series, let's talk about the series itself. Here is the premise that I've concocted:

In ancient times a brotherhood of monks was formed. Their goal was to escape the corruption of society. They created hi-tech celestial temples on all corners of the planet, some of the more notable ones were Atlantis, Mt. Olympus, and Adis. They prospered and created technological achievements that we have yet to discover. But then dark forces attacked the temples in an attempt to gain power. One by one they fell until only the Temple of Adis remained.

One hundred years ago the monks of Adis were betrayed by one of thier own and a battle ensued between the evil forces and the protectors of Adis. The battle was over the Sphere of Adis, an ancient orb that controls the balance of good and evil in the world. The forces of good were triumphant in the fight but the Sphere was destroyed in the conflict. Over the century the shards of the sphere were spread across the planet never to be found again... or so they thought.

Now this series doesn't take place one hundred years ago, it happens in the present (2010) and focuses around 4 teenagers.

Polonius - The Telepather. Polo for short. Polo has power of the mind. He can read minds and teleport. Personality-wise he's flawless. He's cool, smart, lucky, and all around the best guy ever.

Voltemand - The Warlock. Voltemand fights with dark magic and his staff. The dark magic has rotted away at his soul but his pure heart has given him a neutral aura. He keeps to himself and doesn't talk, like ever.

Horatio - The Duplighost. Like the species from the Paper Mario series, he has the power to alter his appearance to that of another person as well as turn invisible. For all that Polo succeeds in he fails. He's got bad luck.

Laertes - The Wendigo. Laertes is 1/16th Wendigo, a beast that lives in snowy conditions. He's an athlete. He's got ab-human strength, a black belt in Kung-Fu, and is working on harnessing his manipulation of ice.

Those four teens are living their lives normally, aware of their powers but not of their destiny. One day they are confronted by 2 monks Marcus (brown hair) and Lucius (gray beard) who takes them to the Temple of Adis. At the temple the monks tell them about their history and a new evil. That new evil goes by the name of Connor.

Connor - Played by my good e-friend Nick Emard, http://www.youtube.com/user/frostbitestudios is a descendant of the very monk that betrayed the Brotherhood of Adis. He along with his grandfather/ mentor, Samael, are planning on collecting the shards and recreate the Sphere of Adis and use it for evil.

And that's where my series begins.
